Q: What is Zip the Cure? A: Zip the Cure is a national fund raising effort to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Established in 2008, Zip the Cure hopes to raise $100 in every zip code of the United States. Individuals or businesses can sponsor a zip code of their choice. The progress will be graphically displayed on the Zip the Cure website located at www.zipthecure.com.
Q: How are the fund raising proceeds used? A: 100% of Zip the Cure's net income will be forwarded to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and will be earmarked specifically for research.

Q: Who runs Zip the Cure? A: Zip the Cure is run entirely by volunteers and has no paid staff.
Q: How can I find out what zip codes are available? A: The easiest method to find out available zip codes is to visit the map located at the Zip the Cure website. Simply zoom into the zip code area that you are interested in sponsoring. If the zip code is available, tahe area on the map will be yellow. If the area is green, then the zip code is already taken. If you click on the zip code area, a pop up window will display information about the donor.
Q: Can I donate less than $100? A: Absolutely! We accept donations for ANY amount. These donations are called general donations. We cannot apply these to specific zip codes, but we will label each general donation by state. Every time we reach $100 in general donations from a particular state, we will sponsor a zip code in that state. The sponsor name on the website for these zip codes will be Friends of JDRF.
